DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS?
While our company's focus is on mainstream commercial projects, we will work with amateurs and semi-professional photographers under appropriate conditions. The criteria we use when we advise a model whether or not to accept a particular  assignment are: 1) Is the photographer or producer paying a fair price and is he likely to pay promptly; 2) Will the client or photographer conduct himself in a professional manner; and 3) Is the assignment being offered appropriate for the career goals of the model.

WHY DO SOME MODELS SHOOT NUDE AND OTHERS NOT?
The decision to model nude is a personal one. As managers, we are neutral on the question, except that we help guide a model to decide what is appropriate for her career goals. While a model may be willing to consider nudity under some circumstances, it must be remembered that we manage mainstream models, not adult models.  There will be circumstances where a model might otherwise consider nudity but will choose to decline.  For you to maintain a good relationship with our models, it is important that you not push their limits or expect them to do more than they have agreed to.

CAN I BOOK YOUR MODELS FOR ADULT ASSIGNMENTS?
While there are many agents and managers in town that work in the adult industry, we do not. With very few exceptions, those of our models who work nude limit themselves to assignments that are commonly defined as Playboy-Style.

I HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS ON YOUR WEBSITE WERE TAKEN BY AAVIAN PRODUCTIONS, WHY AREN'T THERE PHOTOS FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS?
That is an interesting and fair question.  As a part of our service, we spend a lot of time working with our models to prepare them for the business.  We believe the best way to train them is to get them working. Sashabaw Media, our parent company, also owns Aavian Productions. Our purpose is to get them up on our website quickly so that they can start working. Having Aavian Productions take initial photographs allows us to get a new model on the site in days, not months.  We never charge our models to have these first photos taken, but it accomplishes the goal of getting them visible so they can work.  Of course, we work to improve the photos of our models as quickly as possible.

IS THAT WHY SOME OF YOUR MODELS LOOK LESS EXPERIENCED?
The new models page is populated by models that are either new to the business or new to our site. Indeed, some of them are inexperienced, but as a photographer, you should look at that as an opportunity. Our new models, although most are already getting paid assignments, will work for greatly reduced rates if they are provided prints for the website. It is a great opportunity for photographers on a limited budget to work with some future stars.

WHY THEN DON'T I SEE MORE CREDITS FOR SOME MODELS?
The answer to that question is easy, when a model is paid for a shoot, she will often not get prints too. If a model gets working quickly, it may actually take her time to get prints from other shooters to add to her page. Also remember that some models come to the company with prints that have been provided by photographers for the model's use. Often times, a photographer will not request or would prefer not to have credit on our site.

I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT YOU NOW HAVE A FEW NUDE IMAGES ON YOUR SITE, WHY IS THAT?
Honestly, because we don't want to be hypocrites. We have decided that we are not going to make moral judgments for our models. It is for them to decide if they want to do nudity or not. For those who do, the ones that display a nude image get far more legitimate offers than the ones that do not. We are strict and only permit images that are tasteful. The following is a quote from the One Model Place posting guidelines:

"Nudity (Playboy Style etc.) and artistic nudity are wonderful art forms - they have and always will be very welcome on this site - they often show a model's or photographer's range and interest and are often a deciding factor in a photographer's decision to work with a model or not, and visa versa. So it's fine to have nude images as part of a portfolio."

Although we have been slow to adopt this policy, we have come to agree, through our experience that they are probably right. This change in no way suggests that we are encouraging our models to accept nude assignments. That has always been a decision they need to make on their own. Likewise, should they make such a decision, we want to provide them with all the tools at their disposal to become successful I the industry.

HOW DO I BOOK A MODEL?
We are managers, not agents. We promote our models, but in the end, you will make your final arrangements with him/her directly. When you e-mail a model on our site, a copy of the e-mail is forwarded automatically to the model. She will either respond herself or ask us to do so. Ultimately though, you will be contacted directly by the model to confirm the shoot.

SOME OF YOUR MODELS LOOK YOUNG, ARE THEY ALL OVER 18?
Our company is a mainstream management firm, not an Internet firm. In the mainstream, youth is important. One of the functions we perform is to try to sign our talent with agents that can also advance their careers. We are expanding our company to have both a teen and a male division. However, those two groups will be clearly marked. Models in the glamour, commercial and out of state categories are always over eighteen. We maintain copies of identification on file for all of our talent. If a model is under eighteen years of age, we will not forward to them any assignment that is inappropriate for a minor.  The only models under eighteen years of age are in the teen category.

I FIND MANAGERS ARE SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH, ARE YOU?
Working with a manager has many advantages for you. First of all, our models are reliable; they will be there when you want them, ready to work. Second, you will always know in advance what you are getting and what it will cost you. If a manager is difficult to work with, it is because he/she is not professional. Whether you are an amateur or a seasoned professional, you should have no reservations about working with us. We take pride in making things go easily and smoothly.
